Synopsis:
Natalie Baker is just a simple girl from rural Oakland, California who has an unforgettable sexual encounter with billionaire Tanner Clarke. Their steamy romantic and erotic relationship radiates as you turn the pages.
Dark Desire, 1st novella in the Touched By You series, is a romantic tale that takes place in New York. The author Emily Jane Trent was inspired by the endearing romance in the Twilight series. And the sexual enlightenment, and sweet romance, in the Fifty Shades Of Grey series. Touched By You is a unique love story, with full character development, and added intrigue from the billionaire’s life, that will make each book in the series hard to put down.
My own thought:
Dark Desires is the first installment to Emily Jane Trent's Touched By You Series. I haven't read the second book yet but I can say that I really like this book.
Emily Jane Trent captured my imagination as a reader with her talent to describe the character's mind bit by bit. With Natalie's first impression of the sexy Tanner Clarke and how their love evolves over time.
Dark, mysterious and romantic, this is what this book is all about. If you like the 50 Shades of Grey installment then this book is a good catch.
Some of my favorite quotes where:
I've never forgotten you, since that night at the concert. - Tanner Clarke
I seem to recall that you didn't go to prom night. You ran off to a concert. And since I usurped that night, I don't want you to regret your loss. The least I can do is to provide a proper corsage and night out. - Tanner Clarke
It's not a healthy relationship. You should date someone that is able to be intimate with you in ways that I cannot. I tried to stay away. As long as you were in a different city, I could hold back. But if I don't have to get on a plane to see you, if you're so close like you are now... Well, I won't be able to resist. I should but I won't. I'm a greedy, self-centered man. - Tanner Clarke
Tanner, I understand that. I want what you have to offer me. I want to be with you. - Natalie Baker
Thanks Emily Jane for this one of a kind book.
